Family Fun Day at the AMOA!

We decided that we needed to have a family fun day last weekend so we ended up going to the Austin Museum of Art (AMOA). I know that sounds kind of random to take a 1 1/2 year old there, but it was mostly an outdoor museum. There were tons of huge sculptures placed all over the 20 acre museum grounds. It pretty much turned into a nature hike, but Norah LOVED it! You can tell by the huge smiles she gave every time she found something new. She carried her backpack most of the time (because she wanted to, it was pretty light).

Behind Norah is the main museum building. We didn't actually go in because there was a wedding.

Trying to find more rocks to throw into the lake when all of them were gone

Norah loved this path. She would step very carefully so she could here the leaves crush under her feet. She thought that was really neat.

They had these cool benches lining the path. They also had strings of lights strung across the tree tops to light the path at night. That would have been cool to see, but it was way too early for that. Norah and I decided to take a breather.

She was pretty confused when we first got there, but as you can see she warmed up pretty quickly to the museum! It really was a day of family fun. I can't wait to see what we do next.
